overview

Client-side interaction prompt system for FiveM with zero dependencies

FX-Interactions is a prompt layer that other scripts register interactions on. Point it at a coordinate, entity, model or vehicle set, and it draws a prompt when the player is close enough, reads the key input, and reports which option was chosen. It replaces both target systems and DrawText3D with no dependencies — not ox_lib, not a framework, not a database.

All registration, distance selection and key presses happen client-side with no server packets. The resource acting on a selection performs its own validation. The only server-side file is a startup update notice.

The design prioritises idle cost: three loops run at different frequencies, all dropping to a long wait when nothing is in range. The NUI only receives messages when state changes, and per-frame work only occurs while a prompt is visible.

  • 01Works standalone or with QBCore, Qbox and ESX
  • 02Zero dependencies: no ox_lib, framework or database required
  • 03Supports coordinates, entities, models and vehicle sets in one API
  • 04Up to 12 scrollable options per target, tap or hold configurable per option
  • 05Bone and local-offset anchoring for entity prompts
  • 063D text entries that replace DrawText3D
  • 07Five built-in themes with runtime switching, add themes by copying config
  • 08Per-option canInteract callback for conditional visibility
  • 09Automatic dead entity pruning and resource-tied entry cleanup
  • 1025 cm hysteresis prevents boundary flicker
  • 11Line of sight raycast only for focused candidate
  • 12Horn and camera keys suppressed only while prompt open
  • 13Eleven built-in SVG icons, extendable with inline SVG or emoji
  • 14Automatic fx-garages integration

Supported Frameworks

  • Standalone
  • QBCore
  • Qbox
  • ESX

Core Features

  • Coordinates, specific entities, models and whole vehicle sets in one API
  • Global sets for every vehicle, ped or player with model ignore list
  • Bone and local-offset anchoring for entity prompts
  • 3D text entries that replace DrawText3D
  • Up to 12 options per target, scrolled with keys or mouse wheel
  • Tap or hold configurable per option
  • Per-option canInteract callback for conditional visibility
  • Selection delivered via callback and plain-data event
  • Entries tied to registering resource and dropped on restart
  • Dead entity entries pruned automatically

Performance and Optimisation

  • Three loops at three different costs, all drop to long wait when nothing in range
  • NUI messaged only when state changes
  • Per-frame work only while something is visible
  • 25 cm hysteresis prevents player on boundary from flickering
  • Distance measured to raw target, not offset anchor
  • Line of sight raycast only for candidate taking focus
  • Horn and camera keys suppressed only while prompt open
  • NUI never takes focus; player keeps walking, no cursor appears
  • Registry ceilings prevent leaking resources from drowning scan loop

Themes and Customisation

  • Five built-in themes with ten colour tokens each
  • Add theme by copying config table; no stylesheet to edit
  • Theme and sound switchable at runtime through exports
  • Five confirmation sounds generated with Web Audio, no audio files shipped
  • Absolute volume: 0.05 really is 0.05
  • Eleven built-in SVG icons, extendable with inline SVG or emoji

Validation and Safety

  • Every value from another resource is coerced, clamped and range-checked
  • Registry ceilings prevent leaking resources from drowning scan loop

Localisation and Integration

  • English and Turkish included with English fallback for missing keys
  • Automatic fx-garages integration: markers give way to prompt
  • Full export and event reference in English and Turkish

Package Contents

  • Config and locales outside escrow
  • 24/7 technical support included
